My personal experience of Domain Days 2024

The 2024 edition of Domain Days Dubai was my first, and I was thrilled to attend the event. That’s because I know how much attention to detail Munir is putting into crafting a great event.

The location is also well-suited, as Dubai serves as a great meeting place for people from Asia, Europe, and the US. I’ve met many domain investors and portfolio managers from all these regions.

Local speakers, including Mohammed Mubarak Al Falasi [LinkedIn], Ayoub Kehel [LinkedIn], Adel al-Terkait [LinkedIn], Dr. Marwan Alzarouni [LinkedIn], and Wahid Aziz, offered valuable information and statistics about the domain industry in the MENA region.

Then, international speakers such as Sandy Carter [LinkedIn], Braden Pollock [LinkedIn], Dave Evanson [LinkedIn], Joe Alagna [LinkedIn], and many others offered tips and the latest developments on the international domain names market. For me, it was a good mix of local and international domain knowledge.

Although the expo area was relatively small, it still provided ample opportunities to interact with exhibitors and companies showcasing their latest products and services.

On the 2nd day of the event, I participated in the digital assets auction run by Monte Kahn and co-organized by Domain Days Dubai and Right of the Dot. While domain auctions are nothing new to me, it was particularly interesting to see how things heated up and bids flowed in a live auction.

The food at the hotel was excellent, and on both days of the event, I had the opportunity to choose from a variety of specialties. There were relaxing parties at the end of both days, which facilitated networking and interactions.

Speaking of that, the VIP ticket included a cruise, which was a great opportunity to connect with fellow C-level executives and VIP badge holders. This remarkable networking event provided a relaxed and intimate setting, enabling attendees to cultivate meaningful relationships in a more subdued atmosphere, accompanied by good music and food.
