Wondering how my first attendance at Nordic Domain Days was for me? I want to share my personal experience, and I’d love to read about yours in the comments.
My experience at Nordic Domain Days 2025
The 2025 edition, held in May at the Clarion Hotel Stockholm, provided an engaging two-day experience, with a third day reserved for in-depth workshops and private meetings. What struck me most was the mix of Nordic precision with European diversity.
🗣️ Sessions:
I attended in-depth talks on WordPress, AI-driven hosting automation, new TLD monetization strategies, and cutting-edge security frameworks. The speakers weren’t just impressive—they were practitioners with real-world experience.
💼 Networking
I had the opportunity to reconnect with industry leaders and meet new contacts across the domains and the hosting industry. Memorable moments include deep conversations with representatives from WebPros, Team Blue, PatchStack, Domain Days Dubai, Domain Summit London, IT.com, and numerous other companies and startups.
🍷 Social Events:
The social events were spectacular; think evening dinners, after-hours receptions, and relaxed networking over Swedish Fika. Unfortunately, I had to leave early as I was staying out of Stockholm, but in future editions, I will be better prepared.
🤝 Business:
I left Nordic Domain Days 2025 with two potential collaborations and several discussions with service providers lined up. Additionally, I reconnected with a couple of people I had previously met at other events.
That ROI alone was worth the trip.
Here are a couple of pictures I took during the event, but unfortunately, I was busy networking and didn’t take many. Here you can access the official gallery with images.
Overall, Nordic Domain Days 2025 delivered a perfect mix of insight, strategy, and community. It brought together seasoned experts, curious newcomers, and driven entrepreneurs under one roof.
Key highlights of the Nordic Domain Days 2025:
- Policy-focused discussions about ICANN, DNS abuse, and NIS2 implementation across the EU.
- Technical sessions on DNSSEC, RDAP, and DNS privacy protocols.
- Valuable panels on domain sales trends, secondary markets, and Web3 naming systems.
- The “Fika” networking breaks, true to Swedish culture, encouraged relaxed, high-quality conversations.
- The event also featured private roundtables for registry-registrar matchmaking and several closed-door working group sessions for industry standards.
- Unlike broader tech expos, NDD is deeply focused, making every session and meeting meaningful.
